Last weekend we spent Sunday calving our home-grown pumpkins for halloween. As you can see they were pretty impressive. The boys had trouble carrying them
We'd grown 5 altogether but given one away, so had 4 huge pumpkins to calve, which to be honest I was a little sad about, they were my pride and joy, a result of my allotment at its best, however as the kids had sown them for the purpose of claving for halloween, who was I to say no?

And while the pumpkins did their spooky show, so did my monsters, dressed as skeletons and witches, they trick or treated their way to enough candy and sweets to last well into the new year!!
